All dancers should plan to remain at the theatre between performances.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21: Saturday rehearsals as usual—check website for times.
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 28: No rehearsal

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 22 AND SUNDAY NOVEMBER 29:
IN-STUDIO DRESS REHEARSALS Hair and makeup for November 29 dress rehearsal

FRIDAY DECEMBER 4 Montgomery HS Theatre
3:00-9:00 Tech rehearsal only—NO DANCERS

SATURDAY DECEMBER 5 Montgomery HS Theatre - PERFORMANCE

There will be an in-costume meet and greet after every performance in the lobby area. This is mandatory for all principal roles and strongly requested for all other dancers.
 
COSTUMES, HAIR, AND MAKEUP
DanceVision Youth Ensemble is committed to bringing high quality performances to the community.  The following guidelines are MANDATORY in order to achieve this goal

Females:  The style of tights for the children are Capezio hold & stretch style #14c. Color is ballet pink. Tights for adult sizes is Capezio transitional tights (convertible) in ballet pink. Tights are inexpensive at discountdance.com. Make certain to have TWO new pairs. 
All dancers must wear nude leotards under their costumes. Nude skinny strap undergarments are necessary. All undergarment straps must be well hidden and sewn or pinned in to avoid peeking out of costumes.
Hair must be slicked back with gel.  Absolutely no bangs or “whispies” may be seen. 
Pointe shoe ribbons must be sewn or securely taped.  Check for hanging threads on shoes and costumes.  Children’s flat shoes must be clean or new with drawstrings securely placed (taped) inside shoes.
Rhinestone stud earrings required for Marzipan, Flowers, Snow, Dew Drop, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum. No other jewelry and no nail polish allowed. 
Males and Females: Makeup necessities are base, earth tone eye shadows, eyeliner, mascara, rose blush, rose lipstick, and translucent powder to eliminate shiny faces.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT REMINDERS

No video-taping or flash photography during any rehearsal or show.

Bring plenty of water. No food allowed in the theater, dressing rooms or chorus room.  Eating must take place in corridors.  Please bring a large button down sweater or shirt to wear during meals or snacks.  Never, ever eat in costume. Please stay out of the Commons.
Please bring plenty of warm clothing and/or legwarmers as well as socks to cover ballet shoes while walking in the hallways. That will insure you will not track the wax from the corridors to the stage with your ballet shoes.
Parents are not allowed backstage during the performance unless they are on a backstage committee.
First act performers who wish to see the second act, MUST have a ticket. 
There is no entering and exiting the theater during the performance.

NO COSTUMED PERFORMERS ARE ALLOWED IN THE THEATER AT ANY TIME DURING A SHOW.
